We moved out of New Bedford area almost 15 years ago and still come back here. Their pan fried wantons and egg rolls are by far my favorite over all other Chinese/Cantonese restaurants. Delicious!
I have been coming here since I was a kid, and now it's a tradition with my kids. their fried rice is my favorite in the entire south coast and their sweet and sour chicken has been my go to comfort food for almost 30 years. The family is so hard working, kind and talented. Just thinking about it is making me crave some chicken lo mein- another all time favorite
China Star is a low-priced family restaurant with delicious food. The Wonton soup is the best we have had anywhere, and the pan-fried wonton and scallion pancakes are excellent. Although the restaurant has tables, it is best for take-out; they also offer delivery service. We often get lo mein or chow fun as well. We have been getting meals from China Star every two or three weeks for 10 years, and I heartily recommend it.

This has been by far the best Chinese food we have had in the area. They do not use MSG which is certainly good and they also do not use any heavy oil that leaves a taste over everything. A truly amazing and inexpensive meal, we really had no idea it was this good there. We did a quick stop by on a Christmas Eve and were so pleasantly surprised by the enormous quality and frankly big size of the two meals.
